The next step in its development as the electric brand with the new Polestar 2, has taken to the roads. The new all-electric fastback brings electric performance cars to a broader audience. It offers avant-garde design and unique experience in the premium compact electric segment. Polestar 2 is the first electric car to compete in the marketplace, with a guide price of $63,000.00 less the federal incentive of $7,500, which is equal to $55,500 for the launch edition. Compact Modular Architecture Platform
Polestar 2 is a premium five-door fastback with two electric motors. Also, a 78 kwh battery capacity. The 27-module battery is integrated into the floor and contributes to the rigidity of the chassis. This improves the car’s noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) levels. Strategic Collaborations
Volvo Polestar will answer the question of charging Polestar 2 with a smart and extensive approach. The all-wheel-drive electric power train in Polestar 2 produces 300 kW (408 hp) and 660 Nm (487 lb-ft).
Infotainment System
Polestar provides three levels of regenerative braking, capable of bringing the car to a complete stop. The dynamic chassis improves driving with Ohlins dampers, Brembo brakes and unique 20-inch forged wheels. The Polestar’s signature gold seat belts, brake calipers, and valve caps complete the visuals. Additionally, Polestar 2 is embedded with an infotainment system powered by Android, which provides a solid digital environment for apps. Its natural voice control and a new 11-inch touch screen display bring the new interface to life. It brings embedded Google services, including the Google Assistant, Google Maps, and the Google Play Store.
Smart Features
Phone-as-key technology enables car sharing, as well as Polestar’s connected services such as pick-up. It allows Polestar 2 to sense the driver upon approach. Smart features like enlarged graphics in the instrument cluster allow the driver to easily see the charging status before entering the car.
