There are newcomers this year in the list and a familiar face returns as the world’s richest women billionaires.

Alice Walton, a part of the Walmart shares, bucked the trend and ranks as the richest woman in the world this year. As she was the 2nd richest one last year list. She swaps Françoise Bettencourt Meyers heirs L’Oréal, who’s second richest this year. There are many in the list whose stock market slides because of the coronavirus pandemic, one of them is BMW heiress Susanne Klatten, one of the high net worth. And some of them are new to the list, the richest newcomers include Julia Koch, who’s fortune is high after the death of her spouse David Koch in August 2019. And another one, MacKenzie Bezos after her divorce with the world’s richest man, Jeff Bezos increased her fortune by Amazon shares. 

The list is made by using the stock prices and exchange rates from April 2020, to calculate the net worths. Here is the list of top 10 billionaires women in the world 2020.

Alice Louise Walton is an American heir of Walmart and only daughter of the Walmart founder Sam Walton. After losing her spot to L’Oréal heiress in the last year 2019, she claims the title of the world’s richest women billionaires this year. She has increased her fortune by 23% this year and led the Walton family’s foundation. 

2. Françoise Bettencourt Meyers

Net Worth – $53.8 Billion

Meyers is a French Billionaire and the granddaughter of the founder of L’Oréal, Eugène Schueller. She became the world’s richest woman after the death of her mother, Liliane Bettencourt. She is also an author of Bible commentaries and works on Jewish-Christian relations. Also, she is the only daughter of her family. As the shares of cosmetics declined 12% since March due to the coronavirus pandemic, Meyers faced a million of loss. So, the company now started making hand sanitizers to support the needs of French and European health authorities.
