The government has announced that vehicle owners will be granted a six-month exemption from MOT testing from the 30 March 2020, which means you\u2019ll be able to continue traveling to work if you\u2019re a key worker, or to shop for necessities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All cars, vans, and motorcycles which are due for a MOT test will be exempt from needing a test, must still be kept in a roadworthy condition, and garages will remain open for essential repair work. Drivers can be prosecuted if driving unsafe vehicles. We will take this exemption into account, however, MOT tests that were due before March 30, 2020 will be considered on a case-by-case basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you now need to use your car for work or are choosing to drive to work in order to avoid public transport due to social distancing, business use (class 1) will be the minimum class of use for all LV.
